Don’t put the tax cart in front of the business horse (II)
Will I set up my company in France because I might be in Paris on business and I would like to reclaim the VAT on taxi fares?
Another example of putting the tax cart in front of the business horse!
When you set up a new company base it where:
- it will have the highest chance of success
- it is simple to run
- you have access to good staff, potential clients, suppliers
Get it up and running, start making money, make sure you can make sustainable profits that are adequate or more.
If you get that far you have done well, better than most.
For sure, do not pay more tax than you have to, but running a business successfully is hard enough, without basing it somewhere unhelpful just to save a few pounds.
Enfin – how do you know the Parisien taxi driver is even registered for VAT?
Any thoughts? Let us know.
